Temasek and GIC have lost $664,000 per S’porean!!
Just doing some calculations from what I can glean from Ho Jinx’s recent disclosure and other available info, I have come to the shocking conclusion that the between the GIC and Temasek, they have lost $664,000 per native born S’porean.
I used the assumption that the real population of native born Sinkies is around 2.5 million. We are not talking about the recent influx of FT PRs, or johnny come lately people calling themselves S’poreans who have migrated here, and who have inflated the numbers to 4 million or whatever. I am talking people actually born in S’pore.
Temasek losses acknowledged at $40 billion, divided by 2.5 million S’poreans equals $160,000 each.
GIC losses at 42% out of a $300 billion portfolio equals $126 billion or $504,000 per person, for a total lost per person of $664,000!! Holy Shit. Well done, Lee Con You, Ho Jinx, Gay Loong, Wong Cunt Stink, etc. Take a bow. This proofs beyond doubt that S’poreans will be better off by managing their own money personally rather than leave to the PAP.
28 held in Lucky Plaza raids

POLICE have arrested 28 people in raids on 13 shops at Lucky Plaza, which were found to be selling pirated games and providing illegal modification services to Nintendo and Sony Playstation Portable game consoles.
The raids were carried out on Wednesday by officers from the Intellectual Property Rights Branch (IPRB) of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
The suspects, including one woman, are aged between 19 and 55 years.
Some 790 products comprising of Sony PlayStation Portable consoles (PSP), Nintendo Wii consoles and related IP infringing accessories were seized for investigations copyright and trademark infringements.
These items had an estimated street value of $60,000.
Beluga whale carries struggling diver to surface

A DROWNING diver has a beluga whale to thank for helping to save her life after her legs were paralysed by cramps.
Yang Yun was taking part in a free-diving contest at Polar Land in Harbin, north-east China, in which participants were required to sink seven metres to the bottom of a pool and stay there for as long as possible without the aid of breathing equipment.
Ms Yun, 26, thought she was going to die amid the beluga whales she shared the arctic pool with, after struggling to move her legs while trying to kick her way to the surface.
“I began to choke and sank even lower and I thought that was it for me - I was dead,” she told The Sun.
“Until I felt this incredible force under me driving me to the surface.”
That “incredible force” was Mila, a beluga whale which had noticed her distress and clamped its jaws around her leg.
Using her sensitive nose, Mila drove Ms Yun carefully to the surface, to the amazement of onlookers and an underwater photographer who captured the entire incident on film.
“Mila noticed the problem before we did,” an organiser told The Sun.
“She’s a sensitive animal who works closely with humans and I think this girl owes her her life.”
